Based in New York City, Kimmel International (KI),
a Sidney Kimmel Entertainment company,
was founded in 2005 as an international sales company for feature film projects.
KI currently oversees the licensing,
marketing and distribution of Sidney Kimmel Entertainment (SKE) film properties internationally
and also acquires feature film projects to act as an international
sales agent. Mark Lindsay, a veteran of the industry for over
20 years, serves as President of the company. Lindsay most recently
served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Distribution at Miramax
Films.
Commenting on the launch of the company, Mr. Kimmel stated, "SKE currently has a unique and diverse slate
of features in various stages of production and development. We
believe that our entry into foreign sales will be beneficial to
the growth of the company and its continued success in producing
artistically daring and commercially appealing films for the global
marketplace."
